At the age of 7, Amal made her debut with her coach Houry Khalid who would later become her stepfather. "She was very talented," recalls Khalid, her stepfather. Her evolution was remarkable for such her young age. ». Amal has no difficulty in fighting in the championships against heavier and older boys than herself, she does not hesitate to give them a lesson in humility and has won many fights.
An athlet OUT OF THE COMMON

Amal Amjahid was born on 28 October 1995 in Brussels, Belgium. When she was only 6 years old, Amal was a victim of bullying at school due to her small and frail size although she has a strong character. She discovered sport after an altercation with a boy from her school, an altercation that drew attention to her. The teachers advised Amal's mother to enrol her in a fighting sport. Overflowing with energy, Amal wants to practice capoeira. Amal tried several combat sports, English boxing, taekwondo, karate, capoeira... But, very quickly, she turned to Brazilian jiu-jitsu realizing that the weakness she felt in other combat sports against training partners larger or stronger than her physically, did not prevent her from defeating them despite her smaller build, the balance of power was changing.

The dream PATH

At 16, Amal joined the national team of the Associated Wrestling Federation (FILA Belgium). President Carlo La Torre obtained an exemption to allow Amal Amjahid to represent her country at the European Senior Championship. She will compete against female athletes over 21 years of age to finish with a feat by winning her first major title as European runner-up. Amal is pursuing a dream she believes in with unrelenting passion.
The following year Amal will go to the World Championship in Los Angeles to compete in one of the largest sporting events gathering more than 3000 competitors from all over the world. She returned gloriously to Belgium having won her first world title, at that moment it was for her, a dream that had just come true and wich magnitude she could not measure since it was a catalyst to all her other successes.
